Museum of Art/WSU director Chris Bruce writes in the introduction to the book: "Through more that a quarter of a century of work, there has been a remarkable consistency which stems from Markovitz's powerful intensity of focus, combined with an absolute acceptance of beauty that she regularly expands to opulence."
